It’s been a great summer.

It was a great summer. Despite the economic downturn, we’ve been chugging along quite busily cranking out quality videos for several core clients. A couple of years ago I made a decision to move toward operating the company as lean as possible. This included looking for areas where we can cut out waste, and become more efficient at what we do, thus keeping our prices competitive while still providing high quality videos.

This has worked out well for us, as we were already moving toward a lean operation when the economy turned south. What this means to our customers is that they can still expect the same amount of customer service and responsiveness we have always delivered along with creating killer videos.

Another venture that has been keep a bit under wraps is our creation of nwlive.tv. At first, is was a sort of bastard stepchild but after a couple of years of development, we have fully embraced it as an outlet for what we love to do. Create interesting impacting media that entertains, informs and even possibly enlighten a viewer. The Northwest live .tv site is a collaborative effort of everyone working with Sierra Media. The website’s designer, Michael Long on his blog Emergent Domain, has even written about the design of the user interface. http://emergentdomain.com/projects/design-a-media-collection-part-1/

We are continually working on the site and creating content to build the viewership. We are currently creating 3-4 new videos a month. Stay tuned for more exciting, interesting videos from www.nwlive.tv.

We have also started an production podcast section of the website. We started with the production process as we see it. This is information geared toward new and even existing clients. Hopefully they will help us create more informed clients, that ultimately become better clients. If there are any topics you are interested in, let us know and we’ll try out best to create an informative podcast.

That’s it for now.

Cheers,
